This policy explains how Vancoline (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles personal information when you use our mobile apps, web services, and employer dashboards for jobs, social features, and messaging.

1. Introduction

Vancoline is a platform that connects job seekers (“benefit users”) with employers such as companies and shops. Depending on your account type, you may create a profile, apply for jobs, publish posts, send messages, and interact with other users.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what information we process, why we process it, and the choices available to you. By using Vancoline, you acknowledge that you have read this policy.

2. Data we collect

We collect information you provide directly and data generated when you use the service.

Account & profile

  • Email address, phone number, name, password (stored in hashed form), profile photo, city, address, age (if provided)
  • Account role: benefit user, company, shop, or internal administrator
  • Email verification status and session tokens for secure login

Benefit user (job seeker) profile

  • Education, skills, languages, expertise areas, and résumé/CV file
  • Job applications, cover messages, and application status

Employer / organization registration

  • Organization name, type, employee count, commercial registration (CR) number
  • Uploaded documents and images such as cover image, business card, CR image, and license image
  • Moderation status (pending, accepted, or rejected) and related admin notes

Social & community features

  • Posts, comments, likes/dislikes, follow relationships, and media you upload (images/videos)
  • Reports you submit about posts or comments, including reason and optional category
  • Users you block and users who appear on your block list

Jobs & interviews

  • Job listings you create or view, applications, interview dates and times

Messaging & notifications

  • Direct messages between users, read/unread status
  • Push notification token (FCM) if you enable notifications on your device
  • In-app notifications from the platform or administrators

Technical & usage data

  • Device/session identifiers, IP address, user agent, and login session metadata
  • Server logs used for security, debugging, and abuse prevention

3. How we use your data

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Vancoline platform
  • Authenticate users, manage sessions, and protect accounts
  • Match job seekers with employers and facilitate applications and interviews
  • Enable social features, messaging, and notifications you request
  • Review employer registrations and moderate reported content
  • Enforce our terms, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations
  • Send service-related emails (e.g. verification codes, password reset)

5. Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data in these situations:

  • With other users: employers see applicant profiles and CVs for jobs they posted; public profile and post information is visible according to product settings
  • With service providers: hosting, storage, email delivery, and push notification infrastructure under contractual safeguards
  • With administrators: authorized Vancoline staff for moderation, support, and compliance
  • For legal reasons: when required to comply with law, protect rights, or respond to lawful requests

6. Your choices & rights

  • Update profile and organization details in the app or dashboard
  • Manage active sessions and sign out from all devices
  • Block other users to hide their posts, jobs, comments, and messages from your view
  • Report content for admin review; optionally block the author when submitting a report
  • Disable push notifications in your device settings
  • Request access, correction, or deletion of your account by contacting us (see Contact)

Blocking is one-directional: users you block cannot see that you blocked them, but they may still use the platform unless an administrator takes separate action.

7. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We may retain certain records longer when required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, security, or moderation (including audit logs and resolved content reports).

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, and session management. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and keep your credentials confidential.

9. Children

Vancoline is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when this page was revised. Continued use of Vancoline after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
